The Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber (GOGEC) and the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the objective of GOGEC working in “close collaboration” with the maritime department.
According to the document, seen by the News Room, the MoU allows GOGEC to work with MARAD and its important role in monitoring, regulating and coordinating of maritime activities in Guyana.
The MoU was entered into on June 17, 2021, and was signed between President of GOGEC, Manniram Prashad and MARAD Director General, Stephen Thomas.
